About The Barton Gallery

On a corner in Barton Street, in the historical centre of Bath, sits a beautiful double-fronted Georgian building which houses The Barton Gallery on the right and The Barton (therapy) Rooms on the left. Decorated throughout in soothing shades of blue-green, it is a welcoming, calm and peaceful haven.

The Barton Gallery brings together the work of local and international artists and creatives. Our holistic approach to art and therapy places the emphasis on wellbeing. This is partly how Agnes Pollock, owner of the gallery and an artist herself, curates the exhibiting artists and creatives. Every painting, piece of ceramics and handcrafted jewellery is selected to bring light and joy. Throughout the gallery you will find art and crafts which celebrate beauty. All our artists and creatives find inspiration in nature, in botanical forms, in colour and light. There is a wide choice and price range which means you will also find unique greeting cards and affordable gifts, besides beautiful art for your walls.

We organise regular workshops and would love you to discover how therapeutic and fun it can be to create. The staff working in the gallery are all resident artists who will love to help you find what you are looking for, talk about their work and give advice. If you just want to pop in for a browse, look at the art, feel inspired and escape the hustle and bustle of Bath, you will also find a warm welcome. The Lemon logo is our symbol for wholeness, wellbeing and joy.
