Isabell Browell

Isabell’s creative path began in Switzerland, where she managed the design of a chalet in France. The experience sparked a passion for interiors, leading her to study design and collaborate with a professional in the field. Over time, she developed a deep appreciation for textiles, which became a signature element in her work. After 15 years abroad, she settled in Bath, seeking a way to stay connected to design while working from home. Lampshade making became the ideal craft, blending her love of fabrics with hands-on creativity.

INSPIRATION

Inspired by the challenge of finding unique, high-quality lampshades, Isabell began creating bespoke pieces using materials sourced from Uzbekistan, India, and Türkiye. Her work features handwoven ikats, block prints, silks, and vintage finds such as repurposed Indian saris. Each shade is crafted with care, often as a one-of-a-kind piece, reflecting her commitment to artistry and sustainability. She also offers personalised services, from using clients' own fabrics to sourcing materials that complement specific interior schemes.

To accompany her lampshades, Isabell curates a small selection of handmade cushions and velvet ikat handbags. These pieces, sourced directly from artisans, merge traditional craftsmanship with modern style. Whether through interiors or textile design, Isabell’s work is rooted in her passion for creating beautiful, meaningful pieces that bring warmth and individuality to any space.
